Winter Festival-Adding Charm to Hill Station
The only hill station in Rajasthan, Mount Abu boasts of being the venue of the well-known Winter Festival. Adding allure to the hill station, the festival draws a huge number of tourists from all over the globe. The event was the joint initiative of Municipal Board of Tamil Nadu as well as the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation. It started off as a way to offer its citizens a much-needed break so that they can take off some time to relax and enjoy from the humdrum of daily life.
Celebrated during the last week of December, the festival lasts for three days.

Floating of numerous lamps on the Nakki Lake is an important part of the celebration. It is known as Deepdaan. The very sight of lighted lamps is a treat to the eye.
